“Infectious beat-filled album…Killer In You are really getting the dance-rock collision right…ones to watch in 2013!” - Hybrid

"Tons of potential here, and plenty of ambition.... these Cardiff-based guys don’t sound like a band on their first single!" Miniature Music Press

‘Break Control’ is the explosive debut single from Killer In You. The Cardiff-based collective consists of Andy Huntley (Vocals/Guitar), Steve Jones (Producer/Synth), Dave Cauvain (Bass) and Chris Bangs (Guitar) and describe their music as a fusion of ‘bass music meets rock’.

Break Control starts off with eerily composed melodic synths and echoed vocals, teasingly luring you into the calm before the storm, before soaring into a crescendo of crashing drums, furious basslines and screeching guitar riffs laced with an infectious chorus line that will have you singing along instantaneously.

The track is a rapturous debut offering from the collective, who cite their musical influences as Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Hybrid and Muse, to Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Pendulum and Chase and Status; a diverse blend of artists evident in their sound.

The brilliant video for ‘Break Control’ measures up equally to the song title with a high-energy, frenzied supernatural manhunt unfolding over three and a half minutes, inspired by member Steve Jones’ fascination with ufology and further referenced in the collective’s debut album title ‘Signs’ and its tracks.

‘Signs’ will be released later this year.

Andy Huntley (vocal/guitar) was front-man of Welsh rock band, Audiocalm, playing tour dates with the likes of Snow Patrol, Jack Penate and Mr Hudson, appearing at major festivals across the UK and has received BBC and Billboard song-writing awards.

Steve Jones (producer/synth) has been producing music for more than 20 years and is one half of breaks and drum and bass fusion act, Staedler & Waldorf. His first five releases as Groovy Onion all placed in the top 5 in the dance chart and secured remix projects for Lee Coombes. He has several releases on labels including Aardvark Records, Carbon Blanche and most recently Global State Recordings.

Meanwhile, fresh from his role as bassist/writer for 'VWF' and 'This is Radio Freedom', Dave (bass) has appeared alongside Primal Scream, Iggy Pop and the Charlatans, touring the East Coast of America and Canada; whilst Bangsy (guitar) has been guitarist for Cardiff-based bands, SAL and Ninja Pigeon in previous years.

2013 is set to be a busy year for Killer In You. It kicks off with the release of their debut single ‘Break Control’, followed by a host of live shows across the UK and the release of their long-awaited debut album,‘Signs’.

‘Signs’ has been mixed and mastered by Paul Durrant and Nic Palmer at Stir Studios, Cardiff (Catatonia, Bullet For My Valentine, Stereophonics, Super Furry Animals).
