I'd like to introduce the newest addition to The A&R Dept's roster, SAFIA.

Hailing from Canberra, the three piece recently dropped new single 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues'.

Much like fellow countryman Flume, their sound can broadly be described as Electronic, but with a vast array of other influences. As the title suggests, 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues' has a heavily soulful edge, the first half of the track sounding more like a hybrid of Laura Mvula and James Blake

Or as Stoney Roads put it "this track surfs smoothly across genres starting with a soft minimal piano and a vocal heavy intro that eventuates into a harder glitch dubstep progression"

Formed in mid 2012, their first release 'Stretched & Faded' put the name SAFIA on the map with heavy play coming through Triple J and Unearthed. Through the latter they won the opportunity to play this year's Groovin' The Moo festival, and have also supported the likes of The Presets,ClubfeetOwl Eyes, and Peking Duk.
